  1. Press the “ENGINE START STOP” switch once (do not start engine).
  2. Ensure Trip Metre A reading is shown. Turn the ignition off.
  3. While pressing the Trip Meter reset button, press the “ENGINE START STOP” switch once (do not start engine).
    Without multi-information display: Continue to press and hold the button until the trip meter displays “000000”.
    With multi-information display: Continue to press and hold the button until “COMPLETE” appears on the multi-information display.
  4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

There are 2 different reset methods depending on if the vehicle has a touch screen:

  1. Press and hold the TRIP button with the ignition switched off.
  2. Continue to hold the TRIP button and switch the ignition on.
  3. After 5 seconds the master warning light will flash for a few seconds to indicate the reset is complete.
  4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

With Touch Screen Instructions:

  1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting the engine).
  2. Select the Applications (A) icon.
  3. Select Maintenance to display the maintenance list screen and select Oil Change.
  4. Select Reset and follow the prompts.
  5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset

This light warns that there is a problem somewhere in the vehicle stability control system and traction control system (two−wheel drive models) or active traction control system (four−wheel drive models). The light will come on when the ignition key is turned to “ON” and will go off after a few seconds. If the light comes on while driving, the system does not work.
