This light warns that there is a problem somewhere in the vehicle stability control system and traction control system (two−wheel drive models) or active traction control system (four−wheel drive models). The light will come on when the ignition key is turned to “ON” and will go off after a few seconds. If the light comes on while driving, the system does not work. However, as conventional braking operates when applied, there is no problem to continue your driving.

In the following cases, contact your Toyota dealer:

  • The warning light does not come on after the ignition key is turned to “ON”.
  • The warning light remains on after the ignition key is turned to “ON”.
  • The warning light comes on while driving.

    Reset service light indicator, engine oil life GMC Yukon, oil reset instructions:

    year 2000-2006

    1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
    2. Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
    3. If the Change Oil Soon light flashes the system is resetting.
    4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

    year 2007-2013

    1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
    2. *Display the OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC (i button). If the vehicle does not have DIC buttons, the vehicle must be in P (Park) to access this display by pressing the trip odometer reset stem.
    3. Press and hold the SET/RESET (check mark) button on the DIC , or the trip odometer reset stem if vehicle does not have DIC buttons for more than 5 seconds. The oil life will change to 100%.
    4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
    *Remaining oil life can also be reset by depressing the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds instead of using the DIC.

    year 2010-2013

    With Driver Information Centre (DIC):
    1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
    2. Press the MENU button until vehicle information menu is displayed then scroll through the menu with the down arrow until Remaining Oil Life is selected then press SET/CLR (check button) to select.
    3. Use up or down arrow to select YES to reset.
    4. Confirm reset by pressing SET/CLR button.
    5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

    Without Driver Information Centre (DIC):
    1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
    2. Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
    3. If the Change Engine Oil Soon message goes off the system is reset.
    4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
